What is the pomodoro technique?

The pomodoro technique is a time and task management process for doing focused work in 25-minute increments. Between each period of focused work (or pomodoro, the Italian word for tomato), take a short 5-minute break. Once you've completed four 'pomodoros', take a long 10-minute break.

The technique was developed by Francesco Cirillo.

Dorotimer is a privacy-focused and accessible pomodoro timer app.

Who should use dorotimer?

Dorotimer isn't for everyone. It may be for you if:

You care about privacy. In our app settings you can disable analytics, so we can't track your usage.

You use (or prefer) using a keyboard to navigate. Every button and feature has a keyboard shortcut.

You use a screen reader. It is fully WCAG-compliant and makes use of roles, ARIA labels, and semantic HTML for an easy experience.

You feel other pomodoro timer apps have annoying alarms. Dorotimer exclusively features gentle, calming alarm sounds to smoothly shift you between tasks and breaks.
